In this session, we will be wrapping up our nutrition discussion by talking about enteral nutrition.  The GI tract should be used when it can be used, and a lot of hospitalized patients require some degree of enteral nutrition.  We will also talk about some of the different types of feeding tubes you may encounter in clinical practice.

2. Differentiate between the major types of EN formulas
3. Explain the benefits and complications of EN
4. Recommend pharmacological interventions and non-drug therapies which may improve feeding tolerance
5. Discuss methods used to unclog feeding tubes
6. Discuss challenges associated with medication administration for those patients receiving tube feeding
7. Identify medications that can administered via feeding tubes
8. Given a patient case scenario develop a plan to administer medications when the patient has a feeding tube
