1) Compare the advantages and disadvantages of the available anticoagulants used in patients with atrial fibrillation
2) Use the CHADsVASC scoring system to determine if patient with atrial fibrillation should receive anticoagulation
3) Develop a therapeutic plan for a patient with atrial fibrillation who requires anticoagulation
4) Recognize patient specific factors such as organ dysfunction and anthropomorphic measurements that will influence anticoagulant choice and dosing
5) Develop a monitoring plan, including laboratory monitoring, monitoring frequency and therapeutic goals for commonly used anticoagulants
